Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our existing system, ensuring its security and cost-effectiveness, and working closely with the development team to implement fixes and improvements. You should have a strong understanding of various tools and technologies, including Linux Commands, Terraform, Ansible, and AWS services. The ideal candidate should also have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with the team.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain our current system
• Patch and upgrade the system as necessary
• Ensure system security
• Reduce AWS costs
• Work with the Dev Team to create fixes and improvements
• Work with Seniors on system upgrades
• Use Jobs in place and configure Jenkins
• Deploy to different environments

Role Requirements:

• Strong understanding of Linux Commands
• Strong understanding of Terraform and Ansible – being able to upgrade them
• Strong understanding of AWS, including EC2, RDS, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, IAM, and Route 53
• Knowledge of Jenkins, AWS, and Teamcity is a strong plus
• Understanding of deployment lifecycle and rollbacks
• Experience with maintenance and monitoring of current systems
• Experience with Kibana and Cloud Watch, as well as Graphana
• Experience working seamlessly with the Dev Team
• Ability to work independently when noticing issues and creating fixes without supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, System Administration, or a related field
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• AWS certification is a plus
