JOB LEVEL 7 (ICT DEPARTMENT):

JOB REF HR SAICTO7-2021

Reports to: ICT Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – SENIOR ASSISTANT ICT OFFICER

  1.  Performs timely hardware maintenance and periodic ICT tasks for operational efficiency.
  2. Generates reports from organization databases for decision-making.
  3. Performs system and data backups to expedite retrieval of information.
  4. Installs and configures new hardware/software to enable use of the system.
  5. Design and maintenance of websites and eCommerce sites.
  6. Implement system and information security measures to safeguard Information assets.
  7. Create scripts in Python, Perl, PHP or other language.
  8. Provide help desk services to troubleshoot and address end-users problems.
  9. Assign duties and tasks to staff.
  10. Set annual performance management targets for ICT staff and appraise staff on the same.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS – SENIOR ASSISTANT ICT OFFICER

(Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills)

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or
    Information Science (ICT Option) or Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Computing or equivalent.
  2. Higher Diploma and Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Science (ICT Option) or Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Computing or equivalent.
  3. Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience.
  4. Microsoft Certification.
  5. Problem solving, analytical, customer service, integrity, good communication, organization and planning skills.
  6. Experience in working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
  7. A good team player, maintains high work standards, reliable, adapts to new environments, pays attention to detail and self-motivated

  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission;
  • Report from an Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
