The Oracle DBA – Mid Level will have the following responsibilities:
Database administration: Installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, security and availability.
Backup and Recovery: Developing, implementing and testing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection.
Performance Tuning: Monitoring and optimizing database performance, using tools such as SQL tuning and database management tools.
Security Management: Implementing and maintaining database security, including creating and managing users, roles, and permissions.
Database Maintenance: Applying patches and upgrades, performing database migrations and maintaining database documentation.
Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving database issues in a timely manner.
Capacity Planning: Planning and managing database resources, including disk space, memory and CPU utilization.
Collaboration: Working closely with development teams to ensure that database design and administration support application requirements.
The Oracle DBA – Mid Level should fulfil the following requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning and security management.
Experience with SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
