Purpose of the Role :

The Microsoft Engineer will assist the company in delivering the solution to the customers by designing, deploying and supporting the solution.

Minimum Requirements

A. Education

Degree in IT or Relevant Course

B. Relevant Previous Experience:

5 years’ experience in IT enterprise solutions, have technical certifications in Microsoft, and Linux, good interpersonal skills, reliability, and ability to execute.

C. Business Understanding:

1) Understand complex technical issues and manage them within a fast-paced business environment.

2) Identify current and emerging technology issues.

3) Understand various methodology deployment process

4) Certify on different technologies

5) Threat intelligence

6) Able to adapt to upcoming IT trends

D. Knowledge:

Functional Skills:

1) Experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory, Windows File Services, and Group Policies.

2) Experience in Microsoft technologies including 0365 and other related Microsoft SaaS solutions, licensing, deployment and administration.

3) Integration of various security solutions with Microsoft environments.

4) Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPOs.

5) Expert knowledge of AD, ADFS, PKI, and RDS in Windows Server.

6) Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS, and DFS, in a Windows landscape.

7) Extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles, and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals; Windows; Physical Server architecture; Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware, HyperV) and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies.

1) 5 years of experience in hardware in vendor solutions.

2) Certified in vendor solutions.

3) Able to create technical presentations to deliver and articulate to a non-technical audience.

G. Key Responsibilities

1) Conduct successful pilot projects and product installations

2) Maintaining all the software and hardware for security

3) Identity current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats

4) Presales tasks- keep up-to-date knowledge on industry technology

5) Continuous learning- maintain/ enhance partnership status by vendor certifications

6) Meet customers for environment, and site surveys

7) Create internal design configuration documentation including network diagrams with technical explanations

8) Work in collaboration with the sales & Pre-sales team to provide feedback on issues with current products and provide input on new products

9) Provide implementation methodology for projects and tenders

10) Ensure tasks done for customers are documented for further reference

11) Plan and coordinate the implementation of new products into the production environment.

12) Identify root causes of technical problems and develop procedural and technical recommendations for improvement

13) Monitor specific system limitations to maximize capacity and efficiency.

14) Maintain equipment inventory and configuration management records, including software releases, patches, and hardware changes.

15) Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines, and work well under pressure

16) Liaising with vendors to implement the technical solutions

H. Typical Tasks (indicative but not exhaustive)

1) Update the customer and the HOD on an ongoing project.

2) Assisting the pre-sales team to generate new opportunities and solution sizing

3) Deploying Microsoft and related security solutions

4) Certify and upskill on related vendor products

5) Interface with customers for site surveys and attend to existing SLA customers.

6) Prepare weekly Project update reports.

7) Following up on vendor warranty calls for customers.

8) completion of projects within the agreed timelines
